Facts:

• Tim Roth was supposed to play Severus Snape in the movie, but declined and went on to star in another movie
• Alan Rickman plays Professor Snape in the movie Harry Potter, but may not play him in the sequels
• Jeremy Irons played Snape in the Red Nose Day Comic Relief 2003 Harry Potter special (I have to admit, he was soooooo much better than Rickman)
• He had been trying for the DADA post first time he got a job at Hogwarts, and has been applying ever since
• He was a former Death Eater, so has the dark mark burnt into his left forearm

• We all know, that Severus Snape anagrams to Perseus Evans, right? Well, Perseus means to pay paticular interest to. This kinda makes sense and would tell us that Snape must have liked Lily when they were all at Hogwarts together. This would explain Snape's dislike of James Potter, which would carry over to his dislike of Harry since, as he states in the 4th book, he thinks Harry is a lot like his father. Also, J.K. Rowling said we would find out a lot more about Lily Potter, could this be part of it? AND were soppose to read about Snape falling in love in one of the next couple of books, right? Well maybe it's not that he's GOING to fall in love but that were going to learn more about when he WAS in love. Everything in J.K. Rowling's books have a meaning, I don't think it would just HAPPEN that Evans would be part of Snape's name. If this theory is true, she one heck ova clever lady. (Given to me by Angel)
• There's an ancient Roman called Lucius Septimius Severus. There may have been a link between him and JK Rowling. I dunno. Read this biography to find out (I fell asleep on the second paragraph. Never liked History).

I always thought Snape was like one of my old Math teacher (I love you, sir!) and Vegeta from Dragonball Z. Both in looks and attitude.
